Instax Mini 8 & Me..

Finally i can say that i am a proud owner of the new Fujifilm's Instax Mini 8 after long hours of stalking Mr Google.

This is their latest model which will be replacing the Mini 7s along side with Mini 25 , Mini 50 and Wide 210 which are available in Malaysian market.

Me & mini ME

It was difficult for me to decide between the Mini 25 and Mini 8, but i choose the latter for a few reasons.

  • It's the latest model so it should be equipped with the latest tech and settings.
  • There is a clever feature where the built in sensor auto detects the best setting for the current lighting (indoor/dark, cloudy/under shade, sunny and bright)
  • Another additional feature is the Hi-Key which to be use when you need lighter picture or i put it as more glowy pictures.
  • The interesting camera colours, may it be Yellow, Pink, Blue, Black or White.
  • It's slightly lighter and smaller than 7s and uses less AA battery (2pcs)
  • It's Kawaii... that's so understatement.

My Yellow box Model, errgh i hate the biggest picture

In the box you will get the camera, a strap, batteries instruction, manuals and if your seller is generous enough to give a  box of film when you purchased Mini 8.

I choose stained glass.. *wink*

Cutie Yellow

Additionally, i bought the Plain, Candy Pop and Pink Dots films..

And i still have gazillions thematic films that i want to buy.

If only the films are cheaper *sob*

Cutie Yellow and its boxes of films

My Yellow Mini 8 manage to add 2 friends today which are the Sleeky Black and Candy Blue friends.

Aren't they adorable side by side?

Recommended Retail price for Mini 8 is RM288.

Mine and NNR's

Among the first pictures taken from the camera..

Indoor setting

To quote one of the seller's words, he mentioned that the picture quality of Mini 8 is better in comparison with 7s as it gives a more detailed picture.

Loving the Polaroid Film Skin/Sticker, it adds spice to the boring plain.

Sample of settings:
First Picture: using Hi-Key mode
Second Picture: using Indoor mode
Third: Fine mode

This is my own two cents of the Mini 8, there are still lots of things i need to learn and need more time to play with the cutie.. but so far, it has not been disappointing..

Are you using one as well? or the previous or other models perhaps? do share...
