Review: Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow, Sephora Outrageous Volume Mascara, Elianto Shine Up lipstick, Elianto Eyeliner and Nano Infinity Mask

Here are my two cents of the recently purchased Beauty Products:

1) Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation
2) Sephora Outrageous Volume Mascara
3) Elianto Shine Up Lipstick
4) Elianto Absolutely Resistance Eyeliner
5) Nano White Infinity Sleeping Mask

I was running out of foundation the other day and a lady suggested me to consider Benefit's Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow (HFOW). It is an oil-free with SPF 25 and light to medium coverage. The good thing is it's buildable to your liking. Sometimes, i just apply this on top of my primer and skip the concealer for a fresh face. My only con for HFOW is that i have to combine 2 colours (Beige and Honey) for my perfect colour. I finish it up with loose powder to set the foundation.

Here are the swatches:
Left: Beige
Right: Honey

I don't really stock up on mascara. The reason being, i only use one mascara for 2-3 months before it starts to get dry and i throw it away. So recently, i tried out the mascara in Sephora and i am immediately Sold! It is the blackest black (Ultra Black). I love the way it makes my straight-long-droopy lashes to thick with slight curl.

Different wand compared to Maybelline's Hyper Curl

Once i read in magazine, one of the things to do when you turn 30 is to get a nude lippie. I never like to go nude untill this recent. I was looking high and low for the perfect colour that will complement my skin tone. Most just makes me look pale. I have almost given up to find the perfect nude till i went to the Elianto's counter with my mum the other day. Their Shine Up range in Putty Beige is just great. I am so in love with it till i wear it every single day since. Plus, it also comes with SPF 15. Hooray for protected lips!!

It looks matt on tissue, but it is moist on lips

I just can't get enough of black liner, so here is another one that i purchased from Elianto (pencil liner- Twilight Black) which is water resistant and great for lower lashes. It stays put for at least 8 hours.

Good stay-put liner

Last but not least, on my Cherating Trip i bought a sleeping mask coz my face started to feel tight and dry. The Nano White Infinity- Diligent Night Masque promised to work hard at night to replenish your facial moisture plus it will also helps to lighten pimple scars. Great! Hope it will keep it's promises.... The texture is light-gel type with very nice aqua scent. I lather it on after applying Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate serum and that's it...

The scent is soothing and great for hitting the sack

So that is all for now, will do more reviews soon. Are you using the same products? Would love to hear your thoughts on it. Cheers!!...

Hari Raya to Cherating,Kuantan with Love

This was a short trip that we can squeeze in between the holiday season.

Selamat Hari Raya and Maaf Zahir Batin from Feerio and Me

We went off to Cherating on the second day of Hari Raya. The weather was great all the way. The traffic was good in spite of the peak visiting season. Phew, no jams... First stop, Black Stone Resort in Batu Hitam Beach.

This is the view from our room.

The Story of Carpenter Box and Sephora's Traincase

My love for beauty products had started since i was a little girl. I love to watch my mum getting ready for work every single day. The way she put on her tight hugging baju kebaya, applying her skincare regime, bit of lipstick and her high heels.... I just can't wait to wear all those when i grow up.

Now, beauty products are my obsession, either skincare or makeup. I never seems to have enough. After buying whitening skincare products, i feel i need to add hydrating products too.. Plus it is also essential to get scrubs and masks.. The same story goes for eyeshadows, blushers, foundations, eyeliners and etc.. Never ending story, hmmmmm...

Definitely i need to organise them in a nice box or case. The reason being, i'll use the product when i can see them. All this while i've been storing my humble collection in this Green Carpenter Box. I like the way it separates different type of products. Plus i can see all the products in one glance, but i hate the way it looks on the outside. Hideous!

Recently i had purchased an acrylic case to replace my Carpenter box. It is however smaller in shape. The clear Sephora case comes in 2 sizes and this is the biggest and both with three tier-tray. Can i really store all those in this small case?

YES i can!! And i love it...

However, i can't store my palettes and makeup brushes in here.. I wish it comes in bigger size with separator or compartments..

On my Vanity Table

I just can't stop staring...

Zumba VS Comfort food

I used to run around the block, yoga, pilate, doing dancing game and trips to the gym in order to stay fit. I just don't like the feeling of myself getting lazy and heavy. It's just not Me... Plus, i married a man who is so much into health and fitness, i just can't afford to be lazy. I do not want to be bigger size nor fatter than my Husband. It just doesn't look right.

Currently i'm addicted to Zumba Fitness. After trying out for about 2 weeks with wii game, i think it's about time for me to go to real class, but before all that, i want to try-out their dvds...

I went to ask from my Zumba enthusiast friend about it, since she is the Zumba instructor in Sabah. I assume she would know where to buy it from. She referred me to Speedy Video. Thank you Deza...

After doing a bit of research in the net, the dvd that i bought is from the Zumba Fitness Total Body Transformation System. I bought one out of 4 from Speedy Video. I wonder why they didn't sell it in a set... to make more money i guess, Sheeeesh!

Here is my review on the Cardio Party dvd:

It is consist of Meringue, Hip Hop, Raggaeton, Salsa and Cumbia steps, complete with warm up and cool down steps. Beto (the creator of Zumba) and Tanya (my favourite instructor) break down the steps to easy to follow steps and following the rhythm. I literally sweat while dancing, shaking, sliding and jumping throughout the session. It's definitely tougher than playing it on wii. Overall, i think Zumba is a fun workout, as i don't feel like i'm working out at all! Feels like i'm in a dancing class. I want to buy the rest of the dvds later....

On the other note, i received a whatsapp message from Feerio to attend a TT session with PIOC gang tonight..

"Do you fancy eating burger tonight?" a text came in.

                              Here is a picture-teaser....

                                  "ohw my!"

I seriously do not mind coz i know i can always sweat it off in my next Zumba session.

P/S: We were too tired to go out on that night. Next time, Cheesy Ooozing Burger...

KL Tower for Iftar

We were so excited as Papa decided to bring us to KL Tower in conjuction with Dos's Birthday. This is his first year celebrating as a father after Suri came into the picture.

With the bad traffic and all, we managed to reach KL Tower at about 7pm. The view is spectacular.. I always love looking at the skyscrapers.. Too bad its a bit hazy in KL now. Thanxs to all the open burning, sigh......

My favourite,  KLCC

Another view from the Megaview Banquet Deck
Can you spot a 'Camel'?

Our reservation was at Megaview Banquet Deck and i got to know that its 421m from the ground. Especially for iftar in Ramadhan this year, KL Tower put up traditional shows such as Ghazal and Joget Melayu..

Ghazal Stage

The food is great, quite a good spread especially in the dessert aisle... Among the dishes are ikan bakar, asam pedas ekor, udang sambal petai, sayur campur, masak lemak nenas ikan masin, meehoon Singapore, kari laksa, kerabu mangga, roti jala, satay, bubur lambuk, variety of kueh melayu, puddings and many many more..

People that matters....

Me and little missy, Suri..

Aimerul and Syifa (The lovebirds)
Firdaus and Ieda (the reason why we are here..)

Roadtrip to Genting Highlands

It take us about 1 hour to drive up from Petaling Jaya up to Genting Highlands (43km one way). Feerio, Hazeeq and me went up for Iftar just because i was craving for the Hot Stone Chicken Grill. Pftttt..... Mind you, people usually come here for the theme park and the infamous Casino, but we are not here for any of it. We just feel the need to be out of PJ for awhile, while enjoying the lower temperature. It was cold with approximately 18 degrees Celcius in comparison with 32 degrees in PJ. I was so busy feasting my eyes with the luscious green trees until i forget to snap some pictures on the fog. It was quite foggy when we reached the top and starting to drizzle..

After Iftar, we scout around to see if there's anything new in GH. Besides the Ripley's House, Haunted House with new warewolf theme, Buskers performance, Padini having a 3 days storewide sale, the new additions are Chatime and Nike Factory Outlet.. Wait, what?

I quickly point it out to Feerio and Hazeeq to have a look-see. I went browsing aisle after aisle at the women section. They have quite a good collection on running shoes, training shoes, sports wear and bags, both for female and male.

"Yang, i need a training shoe for my Zumba kan?" i said to Feerio
"Yup, plus the one that you like is RM179. Good bargain" he replied...

In my mind i was thinking about things i might want to get since Mr Husband has given me the green light. If i need shoes for Zumba, i will also be needing the dri fit pants and top....pftttt....
Right ladies?

As i was doing the caculation in my mind, i stumble upon this Nike Tenkay Slip...
My eyes was fixed on this particular pair and quickly ask the assistant for my size...

Oh my, this is super nice, i gotta have it! How can a girl ever resist a new pair of shoes...?

"Sayang, can i get this one instead, it's soo comfortable, i love it"
"Yes, this is nice, i like this one too.. Walk around and see if it's comfortable enough" he replies..."

After a bit of walking and jumping act, i told him i like it..

"Ok, I'll buy for you and make sure you wear it and not to just let it hibernate in the box, ok?" Feerio says...

I'm on cloud nine...

On the other note, Hazeeq the brother and Feerio mentioned that this place is a really good bargain, especially on their shoes. It's much better than Al Ikhsan, plus, the originality of the goods in Al Ikhsan is blurry... Both of them said they would want to comeback soon to purchase their shoes.... I want to follow! :)

One of the spots in the indoor park..

Feerio and Hazeeq posing for the camera, Cute!

After tired of walking around, it's ideal to grab ourselves a cuppa. Sadly, our favourite Starbucks outlet in First World Hotel is undergoing renovation and we need to walk all the way to Highlands Hotel. Mmmmmm.... The joy from Hot Caramel Machiato in this weather... Bliss.... We head down to Home right after our coffee and mentally reminded myself i want to eat snacks upon reaching home... Good thing i didnt. I'll be piling up on calories..

On the way home, it gets colder outside.. The temperature has drop again.. I was quite scared with fog and all. Good thing with Husband's skillfull driving, we arrived home safe and sound after midnight.

"Eh, how come it's so hot now?" said Hazeeq
"Pfttttt, of course. We are now back in the Jungle City" I replied....

Zumba Fitness 2 (Wii Game)

What can i say.. I'm obsessed with this game, bear with me, it's not the first fitness game i've played from Wii console. I stumble upon this game while reading one of the fitness magazine. It is the game to check-out besides Just Dance family. I always enjoy playing Just Dance series because they offer plenty of great songs that will definitely make you wanna leave the couch/bed. I have played Active, New U Fitness First, Daisy Fuentes Pilates, but the energy driven by the instructors, is not as close to this game. What can i say, I am totally hooked!

Zumba Fitness is the game that will definitely make you shake your booty and tummy, plus, you can shed off some extra baggage (ohw i want to tone my tummy). That is my ultimate goal for now. Based from my experience, the first few nights playing this game, i can really feel my body aching, especially in my tummy and triceps. I must have really been shaking the muscles...

I always love to dance and this game provides good latin tracks such as Dance, Dance, Dance and a song by Pitbull - Pause. There are 32 tracks in total for Zumba Fitness 2. With the variety of movements such as slide, jump, dancing routine, indeed it is a fun fitness game. I hope i can master this game soon and i can't wait to join the REAL class.

Try it! You'll be surprised..
