Clarisonic Mia 2 & Ole Henriksen

Ohhhhh My!!!

This has been in my wishlist and my google search for couple of weeks now...

This is truly an expensive investment in order to maintain young, flawless and acne-free skin..

Most of the Beauty Gurus gave out positive reviews on this advance sonic skin cleansing gadget.

Some even says it is a toothbrush for the face : facebrush?

Go figure!

I fell in love with the yellow and coral colour, but too bad Sephora/Loreal Malaysia only bring in white and pale pink to the stores.

Pfffttt...

So finally, on the last weekend, the search for pink Mia 2 was ON!

We went from Paradigm's Sephora to the one in Starhill for 3 units of Mia 2.

One for NNR, Feerio's Mum and Me :)

Apparently, the pale pink is selling like hot-cake in here, regardless the hefty price tag, RM530.

Me with Sephora in Starhill, Kuala Lumpur

Let's start unboxing this baby..

In the box is a unit of Mia 2, a sensitive brush head, a magnetic charger, a travel case, instruction kit and Clarisonic Refreshing Gel Cleanser.

Mia 2 comes with extra features such as 2 speed and one minute pulsing T-Timer in comparison with Mia.

For a start, you need to charge the unit for a solid 24 hours before using it.

The SA also mentioned to start with sensitive brush head first as a way to introduce it to our face. After about 3 months, then you may change to other option such as Normal, Delicate, Acne or Deep Pore brush head.

My Review:
24 hours to charge seems like forever. Meanwhile waiting, I watched a lot of videos on how others use it.

As a start, i wash my face with my normal olive oil bar soap and after that i use the Mia 2. The vibrations and tingling sensations kinda ticklish. I love the T-Timer as it acts as a guide on 20 secs for nose and chin, 20 secs for forehead and 10 secs on each cheeks. Next i continue with another minute for neck and decollete area..

Next time, I'm not going to use the bar soap on my next Mia 2 session. It doesn't lather much.. I'll use either Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser or Clinique's Liquid Facial Soap.

Honestly, after the first use, i couldn't really see any difference with regards of white heads and black heads on my chin and nose area. The buggers are still intact in my pores. But, the smoothness, the clean feeling and the absorption of the next skincare routine, that i can say are superb!

We also bought another sensitive brush head for Feerio. His main concerns are the oiliness and the big pores. It has worked out well for him too. After about his second use, his pores has shrunk tremendously and his oiliness is very minimal. He even bothers to slap on the Biotherm's Homme sample for oily skin. Usually he just skip it all. During the day, he doesn't really feel the need to wipe his face frequently. I guess Mia 2 really helps him a lot. Yeay!

As for me, on the third day, i noticed a clearer and more radiant skin. It's still too early to do a review anyway. Will update in a month, 3 months, 6 months and a year usage soon.

With the huge purchase, i managed to score some samples from Ole Henriksen. I love the African Red Tea Cleanser (used together during my Mia 2 Demo), Truth Serum Collagen Booster and the Invigorating Night Gel.

Because i like it too much, i went and purchased their Seven Skin Sensations Kit the next day. It is priced at RM159 in Sephora.

In the kit contains their best products in the market.

Update on 12/03/2013:
My skin has improved tremendously. Long gone the days when i have to put up a thick foundation and concealer in order to hide the pimples and redness. I do not get any post pimple or dryness prior using the Clarisonic day and night for everyday.

Husband's pores were not as big as i remembered too. His oiliness has reduced dramatically and the skin texture is smooth to the touch.

I am so happy that we took the plunge to invest on Clarisonic Mia2.....

The Animal Planet and The Foodies Trip to Taiping...

*smiley*

The animal  planet mentioned above is the famous Taiping Zoo and Night Safari.

I love the greenery environment. It makes me feel calm, and, not to forget, it is soothing to the eyes...

I used to take in between breaks from work and malls to bird parks and zoo.

Some may think it as childish, but i love what i love....

Don't forget the Umbrella, Taiping is well known for it's everyday raining season.

The joke has always been the animals as my 'friends'..

I literally go to every 'cage' and say hello to them, with my Ms Universe waving motion..

Hahahahah....

The Chimps!

These 2 i tell you, would not stop moving around...

Mr Croc here is just over-friendly.. my closest encounter

The lazy-bum, part of the Cat family

This fellow here, keeps on nodding it's head as indication for me to feed it with leaves..

Show-Stopper Lion

The African Savannah..

Hello Sun Bear..

Hello Mama Bear..

This was taken in the Taiping Lake Garden, love how the branch, branching out to the other side..

So here comes the food part....

This time around, we managed to try out a few of the famous 'makan' place in Taiping and Ipoh..

We ate Doli Koay Teow the previous night. It was cooked by the old lady herself..

Must be really tiring to fry separate portions every time.

Verdict: it's definitely better than the one in TTDI's Doli. It's very dry and total opposite to Char Koay Teow.

Next is the Famous Cendol Bismillah, you really have to queue to buy these..

There are options such as Normal Cendol, Pulut Cendol, Red beans and comes with different size too..

Verdict: it's ok, definitely a thirst quencher on a Hot day..

Here is  another variation to Koay Teow which is the Char Koay Teow.

You can opt for prawns/shrimp or 'kerang' (cockle) some sort of oyster i think...

Verdict: Ohhhh, i love this one... in fact i ate 2 plates of these..

(Shhhhh!)

Last but not least the Nasi Kandar Vanggey in Ipoh, but i was too hungry and forgotten to snap pictures. .

Definitely a favourite luncheon place....

A great short trip to fill-up my CNY Holidays..
