Perhentian Excursion..

After weeks of planning and anticipating, Feerio and Me made up our minds to FINALLY give it a go to Perhentian Island...

With the unstable weather condition -  the rainy season, earth quake Every-where and what-not, we proceed with our plan to go to a quick 4D3N excursion on 1-4 of June 2013.

Started the journey at wee hours (5 am to be precise) from Petaling Jaya and reach Kuala Besut Jetty at 11am-ish.

It's a loooooong drive from PJ-Bentong-Kuala Lipis-Gua Musang-Kuala Besut.

This is the suggested route in comparison to the coastal Kuantan-Kuala Terengganu-Kuala Besut, as it is less further, thus faster...

After reaching the jetty, we took a quick lunch and register our names with the boat tour service office.

Upon registeration, we have to wait up for a while as it was raining..

Sleep-deprived & scared-Face
The 20 minutes boat ride has been VERY bumpy as the result of the rain earlier.

Strong wind, Choppy sea...definitely not on my boating LIST...

I was quite scared actually coz it is pretty scary.

Out in the open sea with an open-air boat... Good thing i had my pills.

Arriving at the destination in Perhentian Kecil's Ombak Resort, all i can think of is to wash up and sleep.. hahaha what a waste...

I was so tired with the long hours drive and the bumpy boat ride..

One mental note: next time book airplane, ok? :)

10 minutes jungle walk to Long beach
Perhentian Kecil's Long Beach is like a Paradise on earth... With the clear blue sky and azure sea, i wish i can have this view everyday.

I personally think it's better than Phuket's Patong beach..

We booked a full snorkelling package with Ombak Resort, which consist of returned boat rides, accomodation, meals : 3xbreakfast and 3xdinner, 5 spots snorkelling trip and soft copy pictures.

You can find the my Ombak Resort pictures & post HERE

Feeling like Ariel the mermaid for while :)

Feerio giving Thumbs Up!

2 of the snorkeling spots that i can remember are Turtle point and Shark point.

Anita the Mermaid

Me hitching a ride from the TURTLE

The turtle was huge, i almost miss it as it was the same color as the sand at the bottom, but i get to swim above it as it goes up to the surface for fresh air...duh..

Sharky's Point
Arriving at the Shark's point, i thought i would just skip this point but thinking of the hard work that i have been through to arrive at Perhentian (long hours drive & bumpy boat ride), i give it a second chance.

As i swim nearing to my group, i stopped halfway to catch my breath together with other snorkeling group. Here goes my conversation....

"why aren't you following the sharks?" said one of the instructor.

"It's ok, i'll just look at them from far..."

"But there's ONE underneath you...."

"What?   -___-

Guess my bravery heart has shrunk tremendously...Bahahaha..

That is seriously one nerve-wrecking experience, a GOOD one that i won't forget.

Eat Me....
