The Animal Planet and The Foodies Trip to Taiping...

*smiley*

The animal  planet mentioned above is the famous Taiping Zoo and Night Safari.

I love the greenery environment. It makes me feel calm, and, not to forget, it is soothing to the eyes...

I used to take in between breaks from work and malls to bird parks and zoo.

Some may think it as childish, but i love what i love....

Don't forget the Umbrella, Taiping is well known for it's everyday raining season.

The joke has always been the animals as my 'friends'..

I literally go to every 'cage' and say hello to them, with my Ms Universe waving motion..

Hahahahah....

The Chimps!

These 2 i tell you, would not stop moving around...

Mr Croc here is just over-friendly.. my closest encounter

The lazy-bum, part of the Cat family

Birds in a swamp

This fellow here, keeps on nodding it's head as indication for me to feed it with leaves..

Show-Stopper Lion

The African Savannah..

Hello Sun Bear..

Hello Mama Bear..

This was taken in the Taiping Lake Garden, love how the branch, branching out to the other side..

So here comes the food part....

This time around, we managed to try out a few of the famous 'makan' place in Taiping and Ipoh..

We ate Doli Koay Teow the previous night. It was cooked by the old lady herself..

Must be really tiring to fry separate portions every time.

Verdict: it's definitely better than the one in TTDI's Doli. It's very dry and total opposite to Char Koay Teow.

Next is the Famous Cendol Bismillah, you really have to queue to buy these..

There are options such as Normal Cendol, Pulut Cendol, Red beans and comes with different size too..

Verdict: it's ok, definitely a thirst quencher on a Hot day..

Here is  another variation to Koay Teow which is the Char Koay Teow.

You can opt for prawns/shrimp or 'kerang' (cockle) some sort of oyster i think...

Verdict: Ohhhh, i love this one... in fact i ate 2 plates of these..

(Shhhhh!)

Last but not least the Nasi Kandar Vanggey in Ipoh, but i was too hungry and forgotten to snap pictures. .

Definitely a favourite luncheon place....

A great short trip to fill-up my CNY Holidays..
