Amazed by Kuching...

This year, has truly been a Cuti-Cuti year for me...

This time around it's Kuching, Sarawak with the Family..

While waiting for the plane..

It is my first time in Sarawak and my expectations were pretty standard..

Magnificent Rejang river

I was so SURE that it is still covered with jungle and forest..

Was all Gung-Ho about it...

And boy, I was so wrong.....

It is a well-developed City, even the airport is better than LCCT..

Awesome weather!

We arrived on the second day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri..

Upon arrival, we were rushed to open houses, Kuching-style.

Good thing i came prepared with Baju Kurung..

Nevertheless, i still feel out of place...

People here celebrate Raya with full on Baju Melayu and Baju Kurung during the first 7 days..

Everyone, literally EVERYONE from adults to kids, have their gear on till morning to midnight..

On the next day, we were off to Serikin Market, which is the border of Indonesia for a bit of shopping..

A must visit when you are in Kuching.

It's a good place to learn about the ethnics in Sarawak.

Bidayuh, Melanau, Iban, Orang Ulu, Penan, Melayu, Cina
